Wedge Distance Control Part 2 . . Trajectory control has often been mentioned by great wedge players over the years as the key to consistently controlling their distances... Varying your *CLUB SELECTION* can change both trajectory and spin very easily. Next time you're having a wedge session set yourself a distance to aim for (i.e. 50 yards carry) and have some experimental practice with some different clubs I used 50, 54 and 58 for these shots. INDOOR AND OUTDOOR PRACTICE . . Nice to be outside today and get some work done with @johannagustavssongolf and @hasse.gawa ... All the indoor practice this time of the year can be extremely rewarding but there's nothing better than see the real ball flight (even if it was -10C and we had to defrost the balls with a portable car heater) ---------------------------------------------------- However if you are doing some indoor/net practice make sure you aren't neglecting your alignment. This can be the first thing to change when hitting into a net and can make you're first few weeks back on the course a struggle. PUTTING FUNDAMENTALS . . 2 of my key focus points when it comes to putting are BALL POSITION and A CENTRE STRIKE.... Ball position is over looked by many amateur golfers. Having a ball position that is the same every time makes it much easier to be consistent with starting direction, attack angle and club face alignment (too name a few!). I like to have my ball position forward of centre, approximately in line with my . This allows me to hit slightly up on the ball and keep ball skid to a minimum And a centre strike speaks for itself Next time you're on the putting green before you play, take 5 minutes in the corner of the putting green.
