SAFETY DOESN’T HAPPEN BY ACCIDENT A safe working environment is an important strategic issue for BIM and the goal is to create a workplace that all employees find safe, developing and stimulating. This is the first sentence in our new Occupational Health Policy at BIM Group. The chemical industry is a business area with many risks, and - of course also a lot of regulations for the prevention of accidents and negative health effects. At BIM, we encourage our employees to r...eport all risks, and we assess and manage these continuously in order to prevent accidents. An important tool in our preventive work is the Safety Index, which describes the relationship between risk observations, near accidents and accidents. A high value indicates that we have good conditions to avoid accidents. As a dedicated off-piste skier, I´m truly aware of the importance of safety. At BIM, the safety aspects are also an important part of our sustainability work.
