Traditionally, it was a thick, felted wool which was both highly weather resistant and hard wearing. So hard wearing, in fact, that people used to pass down their garments from one generation to the next! OUR Vadmal fabric is a modern take on the original, but it's far lighter and dries much faster. It was originally developed for (and used by) the Swedish military and fire rescue teams, but we now have sole ownership of it. Nobody else in the world has access to this unique fabric! See more
