First time we cross Baltic sea from Sweden to Finland, trough Aland archipelago. It was like in a dream, packrafting or kayaking in the islands labyrinth... An highlight memory was the party on the boat from Finland to come back to Stockholm with all teams. The organisers put the level very high!! Second time was in Norway, with epic legs trough Fjords, mountains,... Maybe one of my best race ever. I recomand NIAR because its all what we are, adventure racers, looking for: epic journey, professional organisation. "

He is 2 times European Champion and 3 times top 5 at World Championship and top ranking in worldcup ARWS - Adventure Racing World Series. We have taken part of NIAR in three different events and the race has always surprised us positively. You can see the organisation is devoted to give the racers best experience both in and off race. Big, challenging legs and true navigation tasks are what we enjoy and NIAR has always delivered. And also the city-racing and rope tasks have been great fun!

Testimony of Nordic Island Adventure Race from Pavel Paloncy. Pavel has taken part in over 100 Adventure Races and done 30+ expeditions races. I took part in the first edition of NIAR. Many race claim to be epic, but this one had a truly epic course. You can actually see it on a globus. We visited 3 countries, crossed the Baltic sea. Design of the race and the stages was the best part of it. No nonsense stages - hike-a-bike or long carries/portages. We always did the discip...line and used the gear that was most natural for the environment. Packraft, kayak or swimrun - it always was the most natural thing to do. On top of it, travel and logistics was so simple. One of the highlights in ARWS - Adventure Racing World Series. Next race will be hosted 31 May to 6 June 2022 and will also be an epic course you will be able to see on a globus. Its again a part of ARWS - Adventure Racing World Series

After the long kayak leg they finally arrived to Trosa. SAFAT smart route choice in the kayak are still holding and it have payed of. They are really pushing hard to get here before the darkness. First team and fourth time winner of NIAR, we welcome Swedish Armed Forces Adventure Team to the finish line 2021! They haven’t sleep since the restart of the race and made some really good route choices on Utö and the kayak leg down to Landsort. ESTONA ACE finish second after an fantastic race They where in the lead for almost the whole race but after a sleepy kayak leg down to Landsort they lost their lead. At least they could secure the second place after a tight battle on the last mountain bike leg, only minutes in front of @orbital_ar at the finish line. Day 4! Last nights BIG water crossing and arrival to Landsort was exiting yet safe. It’s still a close and tight race between the three leading teams. SAFAT got a little bit of a head start after a good route choice at the last kayak leg. Buy Landsort both Estonia ACE and @orbital_ar slept. SAFAT pushed through the night without sleep. Now we will meet up with them and hear their strategy. We believe SAFAT will sleep after the trek in Trosa before heading out on the last bike... leg.
