Östra Kvarn

On my way out to make breakfast this morning, this beautiful creature caught my eye!

I’ve been telling guests for years that if you want to eat outside, please try our island. It’s beautiful, with the weeping willows, the luscious ferns and the running water on both sides And every time, I thought to myself why don’t WE do it?? So tonight we did! We had pizza on the island and when the shadows crept up we went back up in the sun so Niklas could do some shooting and Charlie could practice his swings. Mom (me) is happy with her wine and some nuts. Great evening in other words!

The other night we had two guests staying over, who were deeply passionate about paragliding. They were on their way back home from paragliding in the south of Scania, and stopped by to try our beaches as well. (And stay at Östra Kvarn of course) And whattayaknow! Our front lawn is perfect for a security check up and to fold it all up again. Safety first, people !

Took a stroll today with my son to pick raspberries and see our beautiful island!

Sommaren börjar lida mot sitt slut och så även bnb-säsongen. Efter ett rejält skyfall igår eftermiddags, kom solen fram och jag tänkte att ska man sitta ute på vår vackra ö, så är det nog sista chansen nu! Så jag bjöd in de gäster som var hemma på lite rosévin. Vår son, Charlie, kom ut klädd som påskhare och bjöd på godis ur ett påskägg, och sen satt vi där ute tills det var ganska mörkt faktiskt. Det var mycket trevligt! Tack till min pappa Rolf Svensson för sponsring av vin (omedvetet) och tack till gästerna som kom och gjorde kvällen mycket trevlig!
