Cancer is the number one cause of death among firefighters. Being a firefighter means putting your own personal safety aside in order to help save others. It means that you are willing to take risks, even if it means putting your life at danger, whenever it is needed from you. It also means exposing yourself to invisible threats in the form of toxic chemicals that can cause job-related long-term diseases such as heart diseases, lung damage and cancer. Today is #WorldCancerDay and the theme is I Am And I Will. At RESCUE Intellitech cancer is on our minds every day of the year. Our goal is to help firefighters fight cancer. We do this by working to raise awareness about the increased risk firefighters run of both being diagnosed and dying from various forms of cancer. We are also dedicated to creating the best possible solutions that can help them reduce their exposure to carcinogens and the risk of being diagnosed with ca...ncer. We are not naive. We know that our product, the Solo Rescue Decon Washer, only offers a solution to one part of the problem, but we are constantly looking to improve and find new solutions that can make a difference. And we urge you to do the same thing. Whether you choose to donate to research, help raise cancer awareness and what causes it, work hands on with cancer treatment or research, or if you develop ideas that can help prevent cancer in the first place, we can all make a difference. Today we celebrate #InternationalWomensDay and all the brave and strong women around the globe and their fight for gender equality.
